You cannot live in your personal balance until you begin to investigate and distinguish between the two opposite sides that run alongside it. Some call this adventure, living in extremes or swinging the pendulum between feast and famine but put more simply, it is an act of getting to know your limits to understand your center.
In your exploration of this unique and Divine thread of personal existence you must stay close to your spirit, reaching out beyond yourself only creates small fractures to the whole. Your inner balance, that seamless central stream of being has nothing to do with people, places and things outside yourself. Yet, most people will offer their opinions, criticisms, guidance, knowledge and personal experience based in their own understanding of themselves but not necessarily in their understanding of you. It’s all within their personal structure and point of balance and oftentimes, this is where confusion sets in. The distinct lines that define your personal parameters get blurred and without that strong knowing of inner self, you can get lost between the seams. You begin to second guess what’s true for you and sadly, mistrust yourself, your knowledge and everything you personally learned by experience. As a result, your inner barometer is misused, you feel misplaced and at a great loss of calm and inner stability.
Personal balance moves and fluctuates within you therefore, only you can discover it. You cannot find it outside yourself, you must go into the inner subtleties to understand. You must form relationship with the soul in order to discern. You must be patient and wait for your inner wisdom to enlighten you, to move you forward strong and balanced. When you do this, when you listen to your own spirit guiding you, teaching you through both sides of your center, your state of balance becomes Divine Balance.
Practice shifting your gaze from the external to internal. When you find yourself being challenged in any framework, rather than seeking the opinions and advice of others, practice sitting with your energy to seek your own counsel. When you don't know what to do- do nothing. Be patient and have courage, wait on your spirit. When anxieties come up, breathe deeper. Remind yourself that you trust your path and you trust yourself and you are willing to allow your next steps to reveal themselves naturally and organically. Practice working with your own knowledge, inner guidance and personal experiences, trust them explicitly so that you can truly begin to live your life in Divine Balance.

Something was bothering me and at first glance I tossed it in the back of me head and made an excuse for it being there. But it came up again, not with vengeance but with a gentle awareness. It was here in this place, in this moment of unyielding confrontation, I asked why? Why was it here and how could I transform it? All of it. The feelings it brought up, the thought patterns that come with it and consequently, the actions taken (repeatedly) that caused a familiar and reoccurring emotional injury.
“I don’t like him, I said. He’s mean and demanding.” Then I thought about who I am, my character, the inner attributes I share, I give without a second thought and that are innately and truly mine, without warning or reason. I continued to evaluate my thoughts and I realized, I’m valuable. I’m worthy of good things. I am generous, fruitful, I prosper and I am deserving. I stopped and said it again, I am deserving and that seemed to really hit home... I Am deserving.
Then I thought about all the things I’ve reciprocated in return to him. I’ve given my time, presence, sense of calm and peace, generosity, productivity, efficiency, kindness, compassion, positive energy and love. I thought, although he was a blessing to me at one time, I am equally and unequivocally a beautiful blessing to him in return. I don’t owe him anything and I certainly, don’t have to condone ill behavior because of some preconceived debt that I believed I owed him. There’s a difference between feeling you deserve something and having a sense of worth. A sense of worth is inherent. It is a God given birthright and value. It does not change. It is unwavering no matter what form it takes. It is yours and rooted deeply in your soul, in your substance, in your essence. A feeling of deserving is what you believe your efforts are worth. It is a state of believing in your character and having your belief systems line up with that, knowing you’ve earned what is yours. Further, a feeling of deserving must be a vibrational match to what you believe your worthy of. It must be in alignment to what you want and you must put in the effort to prepare emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually in accordance. A sense of deserving means your belief systems must be in check and your thoughts, have to be in proper alignment with that, they have to be on the same page.
To end my day, I was blessed. I returned some clothing to a department store and to my surprise there was a flash sale going on. I was handed a “mystery card” that contained hidden sale percentages. I passed it up thinking I wasn’t here to buy. I returned the garments and saw a mystery coupon on the counter that was 40% off. I put it in my bag and continued to leave the store. Before I got to the door, something brilliant caught my eye. When I turned to look at it, I saw the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen. It took my breath away! I thought, well, I have this 40% coupon... and as I thought more about purchasing the ring, I could hear my spirit say, Deserving! Deserving! Deserving! So, said, Yes! I Am Deserving! And I took a deep breath and bought a $1,000 ring with all the surprise sale pricing, for $375!!
