Motivation by Inspiration

                                                   Motivation by Inspiration!

This morning I got to thinking about, what makes New Year’s so special? It’s was a statement that brought forth a flood of questions spinning my mind with inquiry. I asked myself, why do we celebrate it or lament over it or try to cleanse ourselves from it? Why do we pursue last minute applications to try and push through another intended life because of it? Why do we seek outside ourselves to place our focus on some grand gesture and some overestimated declaration of a better life than before? Why do we choose to look over a whole year gone by as a potential enemy rather than ally? Why do we try to wash away the “sins of the father” and then claim sudden resolutions at the end of the wire? Why don’t we ever proclaim the very tenacity that got us this far? Then at an end of a year, all of our efforts and progress go completely unnoticed.

I fell intrigued by the word, ally and its relationship with everyday life. So, I looked it up and the definition was: to combine or unite a resource or commodity with (another) for mutual benefit. It is to merge, join or fuse. Isn’t that what we do with our life anyway? We merge with our life and our life becomes a source of energy and each day, presents a new opportunity to reinstate new action. Then I thought, don’t we kind of do that anyway, reinstate new actions…? Sometimes, even without knowing that we are. It became clear to me that everyday life is a resource and the most valuable commodity in the world, is time. So, perhaps, what makes New Year’s so special is the celebration of time and resource or more specifically, the celebration in how we utilized our precious time and inner life resources.

Time is precious, rather than resolving a whole year into what you want to change or fix moving forward, choose to celebrate the full value of who you are now! Look over your year and acknowledge the time spent in cultivating yourself to better utilize your inner resources with more wisdom but without measurement or comparison. This simple shift sets you up for motivation by inspiration rather than a false startup. By taking the time to practice giving your energy and gratitude to your courage, your strength, to your abilities in those things that you overcame and made happen, you’ve already begun a New Year in alignment with who you are and what you want. So, whether it’s having the courage to walk away from a dissatisfying relationship, asserting your strength to continue on your healing path, or busting through barriers, little by little until you saw some fruit on the table, take the time to self-realize so you can continue to self-actualize. Put that in your bank of awareness and make it your vision going forward. Then sit back and relax as you witness how fast you blaze your path ahead!

Discovery Exercise: Create a Victory Log!
Take the time to review your year and write down your victories! You can include what you learned, what you applied and how you triumphed! Be mindful not to measure or judge progress, there will always be more to work on. Remember, success can be fleeting if we don’t take the time to celebrate it so start today.
*As an added bonus- get yourself a container, box, bowl or vase and over this New Year write down on a separate piece of paper every milestone, small or great and place it in your container- When New Years Eve comes around next year, let that container be your Victory reminder, your gift, and your Motivation by Inspiration!

Happy New Year!
Love,
Jennifer

Plan for Change - It's Your Destiny

4/13/2018

Picture
        Change is constant and inevitable

We will grow and expand, experience and be very different then who we knew ourselves to be. It’s fate, our destiny to reach parts of ourselves and touch this world in ways that spin to wake us up!

Change can hurt. It moves yet immobilizes the recipient, causes fear, strikes the funny bone and we all know, the funny bone is not so funny! Change is scary and dismissive from what we once had and worked so hard for. At one time, our life felt comfortable and abundant and then suddenly, what we knew to be true, secure, and safe is ripped from underneath our feet and we’re changed. Just like that! We are changed; emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, biologically, physiologically, our chemistry is different, our location is unfamiliar, our mind is twisted, our thought process upside down, our perspective obliterated, all of it, changed-

Perhaps, now looking back through the terrorizing cycle we can begin to see through all that, we become a little more whole then we were before, much greater than from the start of the spin. Maybe that’s why change becomes so necessary and an integral part of vitality, because it brings us to a more profound and prolific state of being, whether we like it or not. It’s the command of fate. Fate comes in and spins the wheel of life, tosses you to and fro, spits in your eye, stings where it hurts, then leaves you just as quickly as it came in and you’re changed.

Change will chip away at the ego, lore the inner child out frantically and brings us closer to God. We pray when change comes screaming through the door, we shrink back within ourselves and become ever so vulnerable. Being vulnerable can be scary because you’re exposed in truth. You are required to be completely honest and really look at what’s in front of you, what's real. The truth is, change is reality and reality can suck sometimes, yet it continues its cycle of life with or without you and in spite of itself. You have no choice but to be softer with yourself and your circumstances. Life now becomes a tender place in time where you let go of defenses, drop masks, abandon agendas, and sink into your truth, the truth that is pure and simple. It's an experience of self that is stripped down to its essence in a complete, all-encompassing magnificent moment, that is all you, the whole you.
It takes courage to change, to stand completely as you are in the present moment that you are. It means you must be willing to disarm the self in an intimate moment of connection. It is the sum total and complete feeling system of your inner strength, whether it’s fully accepted and integrated or not. To allow change is to be vulnerable, to be real, to be honest, to exist in this world in truth, to reverberate within your cells and this world, even after you're gone. You can taste truth in your mouth. It's powerful and when it penetrates your being, it releases the energetic blocks that held you back. That's why it makes you shake or feel scared or even cry... It’s a process that reveals who you are at the essence of creation.

So, to change, to feel vulnerable, is actually the energy that's needed to recognize and realize your full potential inside your complete, authentic self. That is your power and your power is immense, it's humbling and it deserves great honor on your path to destiny.

DISCOVERY EXERCISE:
- What is changing in you and in your life right now?
- Reflect on how these changes can, are and will make you more whole.

Write it down and have fun with it!

WE WORK TOWARD WHOLENESS

We sometimes say, “I hate to break it to you…” because the truth hurts and it yields an undeniable power that literally interrupts false beliefs. It stops the illusion dead in its tracks, inhibits falsehood, redirects and reconfigures the stories. The truth suddenly changes perspective; and therefore, the view is skewed in favor of reality.

The truth has momentum, it’s a force to be reckoned with. It has no apologies, no coddle and sometimes, bursts through reality unannounced with no real manners to speak of. The truth breaks through, it is the breakthrough. It removes any propensity to hold on or to clutch and it obliterates the old paradigms that hold us back. The truth is electric, it shocks the system for us to wake up and in that moment within the shock wave, we are shattered. There is great purpose for this shattered reality, this moment of brokenness, because in order to serve the world, we must serve ourselves well first.

We are all divinely fractured in one way or another and that is the beauty of being human, we are meant to build toward wholeness. We can work toward wholeness by cultivating our spirit and begin to manifest our truth through the flesh. It’s said to be human nature to get up and strive toward something greater. The truth is, it’s the spirit inside you that recognizes the misalignment and strives from within your infinite presence to get you up and move you toward greater things, toward your greater self. It’s in the saturation of truth; that interrupts, changes perspective, shocks, electrifies and becomes the force, the momentum that is the spirit within, that urges you to step into your greatness and your human nature, just comes along for the ride.

There is no shame in experiencing brokenness because right behind that feeling is our desire to be whole. Right underneath those fractured parts is your truth, the truth of your purpose, and your unique journey into becoming unified as a complete being in light or a testament to your great understanding which is enlightenment.

We work toward wholeness so that we know the truth of who we really are.

DISCOVERY EXERCISE:
- Take a look back over the things you overcame, those moments of divine fracture you endured and afterwards got a little closer to who you really are. Write them down and then take out the trial portion and just look at your truth. Have fun with it!

Love,
Jennifer

The Colors of Change- Changing Forward

Picture
As inquisitive beings, we all have a striking propensity to explore, to take in life wholeheartedly and gain valuable knowledge. As physical beings, we strive toward the tangible, we want to produce the fruits of our labor in hopes to grow and evolve into a greater version of ourselves and ultimately, in our experiences. However, in just being human we forget-

We forget the knowledge in that, what we strive and reach toward in having these greater things or deeper involvement in our lives, is that the sum total of our walk, is always in search for our happiness, fulfillment, and success. We seek to find, we frustrate to know, we exacerbate to do and get done, we sometimes freeze for fear forbades us and we feel we’re not getting ahead, maybe even moving backwards...

Change strikes you! It makes the earth turn, flower’s bloom, babies born. You make a decision and the world moves, it shakes. The entire universe conspires to meet your demands and desires from deep inside your heart. It is impossible to be stagnant, the heart repeats its beat to reminds us of that, every day. So, we move; we twist and turn, we shape shift, decide, conspire, plan, gather, execute, become and become again, and again and again… Over and over, the process is everlasting, a constant churn and turmoil of evolution. There’s no turning back, it’s a revolution in evolution! We don’t just get ahead, we aren’t moving backwards, we are changing forward-

Some people change jobs, leave relationships, start new ones, get cats, buy new clothes, dye their hair, buy a car, take trips to foreign lands or nearby bed and breakfasts. Some folks take voyages across oceans and others just move. Literally, pack their stuff up, throw out the past, clean the slate and move along state lines to find some new-found life that hopefully fulfills them. It doesn't matter how bold the choice the point is we move to make change - we change to make a move. As uncomfortable as it may be, as fearful as we may feel, as questionable the decisions we made, we change forward-

And the only thing that matters is the call inside your heart, right now. This instant, there’s energy pulling you forward somewhere; toward someone, some-thing, it speaks from deep inside and moves you, leads you toward a greater self, places you in possibilities greater than where you are now. What are you reaching for, striving to be a part of, looking to experience and truly desire to ultimately bring joy into your life? What are the different and defining factors that mean something to you, that fills you, uplifts you, and re-creates you from where you are now? What do you want to experience right now?

DISCOVERY EXERCISE:
These are the questions of change-
This is where you start and need to be very clear and concise in execution. It's not in the doing of this or that but in the crystal clarity of your heart’s hidden desires to help you change forward. The rest will fall into place by virtue of such desire, naturally. It’s the meaning of magnetism and the blueprint of fulfillment. What is the tug inside pulling you toward? Follow what you love, what feels right, what makes you smile and laugh and brings you joy. What makes you feel alive without the fight, sigh, or sunken feeling. What are those things that make you fall in love with yourself over and over again, that you can't help but share and give that very same love in return to others.

If you can do that, just that alone…
You will be successful in changing forward and step right into your happiness and fulfillment.

Love,
Jennifer

Cradled in Creation

6/5/2017

Picture
We do not come into this world alone…

We are literally thrust into the universe by an expulsion of creative energy carrying the seed and soil that nurtures a brand new soul into life! We come catapulting into form securely attached in a beautiful, sacred bond of union and sustenance. Someone is right there with you and already has your back. You begin life with the most important relationship of your life, Cradled in Creation inside the balm and belly of your mother. Your mother is the first human life force you connect with and together, you establish the basis of sharing, of giving and receiving, of working together to grow and transform. Collectively, you begin to build upon a nourishing and nurturing foundation of love.
It takes an incredible amount of creative power to assert such life into manifestation and to well-preserve it. The emotional link and energetic tapestry is so strong between mother and child, that a physical cord or navel string directly connects your mother’s creative and emotional energy to your personal power and will to live. In fact, the innate creative intelligence to co-create, to bond in pure unconditional love, to take care, raise and grow life is so great inside the womb of the feminine that each month the womb is empty with no life to carry inside, we grieve. That’s why each month we may find ourselves eating everything in sight because we are trying to unconsciously fill a profound void. There can be such a deep ache inside that we cramp and curl up in pain. The loss can be so great within us that we can feel moody, cry uncontrollably, or just want to be held. We’re grieving… We grieve the tremendous loss of the potential in sharing unconditional love.
A special day in May is sanctioned to celebrate mother’s all around the world. One day puts focus, the lime light on the feminine, the woman -- my mother, your mother, thee mother that carries and connects the most powerful force in the universe, what is seen and unseen. One day out of an entire year celebrates an unbreakable bond that outlasts time, space, and reason. One day -- You may fight with your mom, you may say you don’t “need” her anymore or as much, she may have even passed on but in every scenario, that beautiful sacred bond of union and sustenance will remain with you forever and that cord -- that energetic and emotional navel string, will generate here and now and for generations to come, forever.
She’s not just your mother. She is the first teacher, the blessing and sweet gift of pure love. So, love her, love yourself as you initially experienced, and then love this world in the very same way.

God knows we need it-

DISCOVERY EXERCISE:
- Take a moment to remember your mother... Think about all that she's shown and taught you. Think about her strengths and gifts and the same strength's and gifts she passed down to you. Think about the challenges she's shared, how you may have been of service to her and more importantly, how you worked together to build, strengthen, love and secure each other in this world. Write it down and have fun with it!

Love,
Jennifer

Vulnerability is the Only Bridge to Connection

To me, being vulnerable is always scary because you’re exposed in truth- You’re required to be completely honest.      It takes courage to stand completely as you are in the present that you are. It means you must be willing to disarm the self and perhaps even another in an intimate moment of connection. It is the complete feeling of your inner strength in total and it offer's strength to the one you share it with, whether it’s fully accepted and integrated or not.
To be vulnerable is to be real, to exist in this world and to reverberate within the cells, even after you're gone. The Body and Mind can Intertwine

5/3/2017

Picture
There’s no escaping it… We all get sick from time to time, some flu, cold or virus invades our privacy and takes us down. A natural born cycle that makes us count our blessings, peak our prayers and somehow, find ourselves getting a little closer to God.
Sometime last month, it hit me. I was tired, resting in bed feeling my glands swollen and sort of that itchy inflamed feeling in my ears and in the back of my throat. Yuck! (I hate those itchies!) Yet, although I was super tired and needed to rest, I felt really guilty that I was about to fall asleep. While this battle was going on in my mind, there was a quiet moment of pause when I saw a vision. This image appeared to me of a fish jumping upstream, like how salmon migrate from the ocean and swim upriver to spawn. Then I thought about what happens when a fish gets caught moving upstream and I remembered, some get stuck in the bear’s claws -- a price to pay when going against the grain. So, I decided to rest the feeling of guilt in my mind and let my body drift off to sleep.
The body and mind can intertwine in intimate relationship easily when we allow the ocean of our minds and the river of our bodies to meet and merge in its natural state of being -- an elegant, internal estuary that fuels the ecosystem of our being. My body was tired. It was under attack, invaded by foreign material and it was fighting for its life. I was exhausted and rightfully so but I also felt guilty, my mind was tortured and fighting against the grain. There was no elegant, internal estuary meeting and mingling in that moment, it was chaos!
All this until I stopped struggling upward and slipped into the basic current, the connecting concept that relates to the communication of the body and conscious awareness. Your body knows you best -- There are repercussions in going against the grain, against the wisdom and teaching of your own body. So, rest and drift off into a state where your mind can mend and your body can be heard.
When I woke up from my rest, I had more energy. The sun was shining outside and I felt to go out for a walk. Again, somewhere in the back of my mind I heard words that seemed to beat me up, “How dare you sleep?! Get up. get out and get some exercise!” (Man, those voices can be so persistent and ever demanding!). So, I put my sneakers on, jumped into my favorite purple sweater with the fuzzy white fur inside and prepared myself to walk.
Until… I felt those glands in the back of my neck swell and the glands under my chin thump with discontent. Then came that itchy, inflamed feeling in my ears and in the back of my throat again. I thought… “Ok, I hear you… You need more time.” So, I made a healthy shake to drink and instead of walking for exercise, I sat outside in the sun and allowed the sun do its wondrous magic.
Rather than moving upstream against the grain, I listened to the natural flow of the currents and allowed them to mingle, merge, and move me. Therefore, I bypassed the bears claw’s and simply headed for the sun where an elegant, internal estuary fueling the ecosystem of my being was moving and well balanced.
Most times, we’re not aware of the body/soul communications in the moments that they’re happening. We just move about, getting caught and stuck and sometimes, later on that day we wish we just would’ve just listened. You see, we have to catch those moments as they rise up in awareness and be able to let them go as they pass by, but take with us the insights they impart and then use them wisely.

There is a great distinction in going against the grain and going with the flow. Going against the grain teaches about holding on and brings up emotional patterns of denial and/or disapproval. Whereas, going with the flow teaches about letting go. It mirror’s the potential opportunities of acknowledgment and the ease of acceptance.

However, the choice is always yours-

DISCOVERY EXERCISE:
- I invite you to find those moments of awareness that mingle and merge. That point where body and soul communication becomes your very own elegant internal estuary in which, your choices fuel your ecosystem of being in healthy more balanced ways.

Love,
Jennifer

I was alone in my room feeling overwhelmed and heavy, preoccupied with thoughts that stamped my mind with the blah's. Thoughts that made me sigh not in relief, no but gave such weight that my shoulder's wilted, my chest caved inward and my head dropped downward. I had the blues.. I wasn't happy and I started thinking, maybe I never really was. I guess anything is possible but I needed to remember a time I smiled.
     - The first thought that popped into my head was my cat. My cat makes me happy! I see his little face and I just light up! After work, I'd get so excited to see him that I'd scream his name in the car, I'd say, "
Lakshhhmmmmi, mommy's coming home!" as I drove up the hill to my house. I loved that little butter ball and I feel happy, loving and being loved in a safe, reciprocal way.
     - The second thought came rushing forward quickly, I felt really happy pursuing my acting career. I loved being part of the whole scene, from character development to rehearsals to show time! It was exhilarating! The more I learned to let go of myself within the context of my craft, I had FUN! It makes
me happy, working with creative people and building healthy camaraderie- moving deep into development and understanding.
     - I thought, wow! I'm thrilled after working with someone in my healing/coaching business. I love serving people, helping people shift and heal or just holding their hand close to my heart while they cry. They cry - I cry and somehow, right underneath such pain and sadness, such depth and empathy, is a soft space of happiness. I feel happy, serving people and supporting their way back to balance, deep care, and wholeness.
     - And writing.. Well, I love to write! When I put words together or create a picture, a beat, an amazing sound and rhythm, I'm captivated! My heart beats fast, my eyes widen, my body fills with emotion and I'm potent with the spirit- I'm unstoppable! It makes me happy communicating, sharing a message, a moment, being honest- vulnerable, powerful and authentically me-
Turns out, I am happy and happiness doesn't really "Hang Out" somewhere. I learned, happiness is not a destination. It's not an end point. It comes in moments, precious moments that are fleeting but can still be remembered and held onto. So, I remembered my happiness and held onto those treasured moments sprinkled through my life. I was reminded of what truly fulfills me and I remembered who I am- aside from the heavy thoughts. Once you remember that, happiness Finds You and stays awhile-

- There is a great distinction between feeling fulfilled and unfulfilled, connected and disconnected, alive and empty. This book I've been reading, talks about two principles called, mirrored and deflection. "Mirrored is to look in another's eyes and know you've been seen, to listen to another's words and know you've been heard, to feel another's touch and know you've been felt." It is a shared experience.
"Deflection on the other hand, is the opposite. It is offering the gift or part of yourself to someone and having that person unwilling or unable to take it. What's clear is how deflection makes you feel in comparison. It feels as if someone is shutting the door on you." It is a disconnection. Mirroring, fulfills and creates more. Whereas, deflection disconnects and creates emptiness. Be mindful of where, what and with whom you Hang Out with, that will determine if happiness finds and fulfills you.

And if you find your too far away, just remember..
                                                   Give yourself a little R & R
Remember what truly fulfills you & Remind yourself of who you are-
                                                 Aside from the heavy thoughts.

DISCOVERY EXERCISE:
- I invite you to give yourself a little R & R, remember what truly fulfills you and why and in doing so, remind yourself of who you are. Write it down and have fun with it!

Jennifer

                               Its Okay to Walk Away

Picture
Spring is desperately trying to break through the season-
To bless us with its sunshiny state of being,
Bringing a sense of joy and beauty back into our world.

When we think of Spring, most of us think about; joy, new beginnings, hope, and moving forward but is it the thought of Spring that keeps us waiting patiently for positive change? Maybe it's in the hope of a change in season that satisfies us or is it that Old Man Winter finally walks away..? I mean, it's nice to think about a brighter future and it's really wonderful to keep hope but it isn't until Winter walks away, actually leaves and evaporates into thin air, that things start to warm up. You see, thought and hope only go so far- It's not until we walk away from the blistering cold that we can feel the warmth. It's not until a choice is made for change- That life begins anew.
I believe the actions of life are reflective, in the ways in which we can live our own lives. Season's change to teach us that nothing is permanent- It reminds us, that we have choice and that choice- Is our power. There is something liberating in choosing to walk away- Last year was an eye-opener for me. My season was changing without warning, as they often do and for the first time in my life, I made a choice for change- I decided to walk away.. From the people, places, and things that kept me in the blistering cold and away from the sun. It was like a switch went off in my head and a course of action naturally took place. The season changed-
You see, I've thought about having better jobs, more money and better health. I've hoped, for soul-connected, romantic relationships, stronger friendships and even closer family relations. I've put positive energy and lots of effort into all these things but it wasn't until I walked away- from that which didn't feed me well, that I was able to make a space for greater experiences and my life, truly began new.
Walking away doesn't mean you are mad, rejective, hold any grudges or resentment. It just means you are making choices that suit you well, that suit your circumstances and supports your future thoughts, hopes and dreams in your favor. Remember, the seasons don't hold onto what they experienced during their season. They just walk away when its time- And if and when they come around again, each and every time they do, the experience is much different because they come back with fresh eyes and are free to be as they are naturally.

                                     - Nothing is permanent and nothing stays the same,
Even within the season of its own time.

DISCOVERY EXERCISE:

I invite you to take a look at the people, places, and things that are in your life right now and evaluate whether these experiences are filled with nourishment and good fruit for you. I challenge you to look at the choices for change and greater possibilities of experience for you. Are there people, places and things in your life right now that you may need to consider walking away from to greater support a personal experience that gives you warmth and good favor? Think carefully, write it down and practice utilizing your personal power in choosing to make change. Have fun with it!

                                      LIFE AND LOVE

The most beautiful thing about life is that it is our greatest teacher-
Life is always present and active-

It turns on every day, fully activated and engaged right before our eyes.

Life itself, genuinely becomes the example of how to carve our character
In accordance with the
Most-High-
The way existence sculpts the landscape or molds a magnificent moment onto itself.
It's really quite amazing-
How life continues to live of itself throughout the ages, with or without human tending.
It Just IS-

Life show's us the many processes of existence from the level of pure devotion-

How time give of itself to the things that gestate, develop and grow.

How rain quenches the thirst of the land...
How all species multiply inside abundance-
Yet, each individual and collective are content and confident,
Just as they are-
There is no bolstering of name or seek of reward for deed and action.
Each bird finds and makes a home using the same sticks and leaves available...
Every animal must go out to get food, water and shelter.
There are millions and possibly billions of animals, species, plants, etc.,
All living and thriving together in the same place
-
Planet Earth
Yet, there always seems to be enough-
The things of life are left to do what they do in an exact way and fiercely brave process.

When life is left to its own devices, life is balance-

It continues to work toward equilibrium without record of injury.
Life does not focus on what happened-
But more so on what's happening right NOW.
The tree’s offers shade,
Every crop awaits the rain,
Each evening anticipates the magnificence of tomorrow's sun!
And life continues...
On and on, day in and day out-
Through all circumstances and throughout the ages.
Life is resilient-

The most beautiful thing about life is that it is our greatest teacher-
It teaches about faith, hope and love...

Love is patient, love is kind-
It does not envy. It does not boast.

It is not proud, rude, or self-seeking-
It is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth!
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

                                                              Love never fails-
Now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
BUT THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE-
                                                       1 Corinthians 13 4:8, 1

DISCOVERY EXERCISE:
Look for the secrets in the life, living around you.. See how you can apply that wisdom in your own life. Can you begin to carve your character in alignment with existence? Have fun with it!

Love,
Jennifer
