Its true. Vulnerability is a strength not a weakness. We create layers of energetic, emotional, and mental protections, commonly referred to as walls or masks. They are all enigmatic modes of survival and stealthy ways to hide what’s real and tender inside. Sometimes, even strong emotional energy like anger, can be the protector of a more vulnerable wound like feeling ignored. How beautiful though, that we create these layers of safety for protection. That’s how much we love ourselves.

It’s just that, when we layer to protect in this way, we disconnect from our natural being, lose sight of who we are and don’t allow a chance to connect with others in an authentic and heart-connected way. The work is to gently peel back those layers, to embrace your truth, and to learn new, healthy ways to step into your power with greater meaning and purpose. This shift in way of being, is to allow yourself to be seen, to be available to your true nature and all it contains.
