I’M HUNGRY
I woke up, moaning
through my thoughts of you-
Tracing night,
under blankets and clouds
reaching for your hand,
to touch, to hold,
to simply rest in dark night
and slip away...
Away into deep sleep, rich
in your presence,
being present-
And Here I Am
clutching my long purple pillow
the one I sleep with every night..
Every night, I think of you.
I search, for you-
In the night my mind can't sleep
tension presses, pushing pressures
against sensation and sound.
I'm not even awake-
Unconscious, I seek
You
Conscious, I look for
You
My eyes, my mouth, my lips,
my tongue whisper...
Whispering...
(( I miss him ))
Only God,
hears such rustling ache
in those languished hours passed
where midnight and you
show up on the scent of my fingers.
Your seed spilled, drawn
across my chest.
In the middle of night, life
is drained, vacant,
lost in faintness,
reaching across time to Love
Only Shadows..
And You-

with Peanut Butter on your breath
in the middle of night,
just as hungry-
