Deep listening is developing an intimate connection with the self and life in a way that deeply pays attention to your needs. This is a skill that can be developed over time. The approach is organic in that you learn to receive internal information and interpret the sensations in the body as a response to your experience's, surroundings, and interactions with others. This is a mindful practice so, take your time and be gentle with yourself.
It is common to view life as lived through a series of reactions to what’s going on around us. It’s also common to feel stressed and overwhelmed, to live with tension in the body or suffer with anxiety. We carry with us places in our past and powerful emotional narratives that still pain us and have us searching for ways to heal. We seek effective ways to better understand how to change the habits that might hold us in unhealthy patterns, self-sabotage, or keep us feeling stuck. All of us, in one area of life or more, can find it hard to be gentle, kind, and compassionate with ourselves. Take the time to develop the skills that will help you respond differently, to truly heal, and evolve.
You can develop a practice of deep listening through a mindful breathing and focused meditation practice. These spiritual practices build on the skill of self-connection, in connection to your experiences in the moment as well as; deep listening, observation, labeling or describing inner-sensations and building on the 5 senses. You can learn how to pay close and tender attention to the body, mind, and your beautiful heart language. As you allow the self to surrender and become familiar with what it means to experience yourself in relationship with your truth, you can discover new avenues of personal power. You can discover while you heal and welcome yourself in the process. This type of self-consideration provides you with more resources and a greater capacity to respond differently, with Grace, greater clarity, and solid sense of self in your truth. This allows you to engage more fully, healthfully, and heartfully.
