On Art
I believe,
the beauty and mystic of art
is the unknown that births
before your eyes and creates
life in your heart.
At times,
it will leave you speechless,
with only a subtle
or stark sensational residue
you can’t deny and sometimes,
it puts salt in your mouth
or wild berries on your tongue
and yet, even still,
you might walk away
with a dent on your flesh
that you’ll never forget
and in turn-
you may never, ever
be the same again-
Art is life,
until it’s no more
yet that experience,
that energy, lives on forever
and we as artists, as creators,
visionaries, change makers,
and performers
it is our duty, our divine right,
nature, and calling
to continue that bloodline
in the best way we know how.
